Moving Day! And a Few Prayer Requests

TODAY, the Cracraft family is set to move in to the house known affectionately as PRADERO!!  After a couple months of hard work and dear friends, we hope to spend our first night as a family in the new house.  The kids are excited.  The wife is excited.  And I’m just ready to watch my new HDTV!!!

I can’t go forward without giving a shout out to all the folks who have taken time to help us get ready for this day:

  • First and foremost, my parents have blessed us tremendously by letting us dwell in their basement for a year!  What intended to be a few months has turned into something much more, but we are grateful.  The kids are going to miss “Jo Jo and Pappaw” for sure.
  • The many friends who have helped.  The Gilberts (both sets), Tigges, Reynolds, and Cohorns.
  • My family.  Tom Bowman, Jim Hopper, Carlos Cracraft, and Justin O’Neil.
  • My Wife.  For being patience and carrying the load with the kids.

We are blessed and excited about the next challenge, which will be fitting all of our junk into a smaller home.  Let’s just say we already have some math problems with trying to fit our couch’s and chairs…..Hopefully we will have pictures at some point.  If not, give us a call and stop by.

Aside from that, this has been a pretty difficult week for some of my family and friends.  I want to lift a couple pray request up for the weekend:

  • My grandmother, Ruby Boyd, did learn on Tuesday that she has Multiple Myeloma.  This is some sort of cancer which generally attacks either your bones or blood.  In Grandie’s case, it has attacked her blood, which is causing her kidneys to stop functioning properly.  Yesterday, she and my mother visited with some specialist and did not get the best of news.  They basically didn’t catch the cancer quick enough and thus there is some concern as to whether they can get the kidneys to regain their ability to function.  Grandie starts oral chemotheraphy next week and will do so for the next couple of months.
  • My Mother, Linda Grow, is also having some of her own health problems.  She has experienced some hearing loss and in one ear she is basically deaf.  This appears to be causing some equilibrium problems and she has had bouts with dizziness and nausea.  This comes at a hard time as she now has her mother living with her and she is continuing to work full time.
  • Nita, who I lifted up on Tuesday.  She had chemo on Monday and a Bone Marrow shot on Tuesday.  She continues to experience pain and has a hard time even resting.

Have a great weekend!  Soccer on Saturday and Sunday for the Cracrafts!  Birthday party on Saturday!  Hopefully some down time in front of the TV as well!

God Bless, Bo
