Spare Change

As I write this I am laughing hysterically.  Friends and family, I sit here before you tonight, a member of the Early Learning Center PTO, who drives a minivan WITH a soccer ball on the back.  NO…I am not kidding you!  I had to turn down the PTO president tonight when she wanted me to put an “Early Learning Village” decal next to the soccer ball.  I felt bad and bought a t-shirt instead.  I’m sure the decal will follow soon enough.  When I think about the Land Rover Defender with huge sound system/navigation I was driving 10 years ago, and my ambitions of becoming a big business woman, I can only laugh.  My business suits and lunches have been replaced with paint covered sweats and Colby and Kallee’s leftovers.  God has such a sense of humor sometimes.  (Like when I was about to lose it with my kid last week and looked on my Upward Soccer prayer list to see “pray for the parents to be encouraging”.  lol), but knows what will truly make us happy.  I haven’t been able to prove Him wrong yet!!  He takes us so far from our comfort zone, pushes us off our map, and develops us into the people He’d have us to be…if we let Him.  Guys, I’ve entitled this Changed Lives, because I am SO thankful for the ride He’s taken Bo and I , and the one He’s taking us on right now!  AND so thankful He’s not finished with us yet!  Looking forward to see how my “discomfort” plays out in the upcoming months and how we will continue to change.   

P.S.  A big shout out to my “Hard-Workin’ Man” who has pretty much come straight home from work every day and only to spend the evening working on Pradero!  Your effort is paying off and I can say I am SO excited to move into our new house, and more in LOVE with YOU every day!
