Random Thoughts on a Monday

Life has been crazy busy. It seems like we have just been bouncing from one place to the other and there are so many things to do. Mondays always come to fast, but it also gets us back into our weekly routine. Its hard to believe we are already in the midst of mid-July. The summer is going to past before we know it! Off to random thoughts….

  • The weekend was crazy. Three swimming events at three swimming pools over two days! Colby was hobbling around…can we say chaffed a little. He looked like a old man walking around!!
  • Yesterday was a great day at Hope Community. I had the blessed opportunity of teaching Large Group back in the Warehouse! We focused on two promises of God. 1) We are Loved Unconditionally, and 2) We are designed to be Children of God!
  • My soccer team (check em out) totally BLESSED me yesterday! I was overcome when they handed me over $330 bones for my trip to Honduras. I had just paid for almost $300 worth of vaccinations on Friday. Who says God can’t provide! I love those girls and their parents!
  • Speaking of soccer, the Spaniards took the title, but Netherlands fought hard! Or Fouled Hard. I am an old “clockwork orange” fan. Can’t wait till 2014!
  • The house work at Pradero (our new old house) is going pretty well. We are hoping to install some hardwood floors this week….My back asks for prayer.
  • Reading for the week (ha, like I can read a book in a week) : Radical - Taking Back Your Faith from The American Dream. Excited about it.
  • 2 Weeks from today I will be serving God IN San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
  • Hearing your little 2 year old daughter sing Chris Tomlin’s “Sing, Sing, Sing” in the car is pretty cool. Check that, it better than that. Its AMAZING!
  • Hearing your 5 year old boy say “Are we there yet” a thousand times in the car is pretty mind numbing….
