One Family's attempt to live simply, while simply following. Jesus that is!

Thankful for….

This week, there have been a number of people, my wife included, who have been updating their facebook status each day to inclulde a message of what they are thankful for.  It might be a friend, family member, job, or home.  It has been nice to hear people express thanks and it got me thinking….

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
                                                         1 Chronicles 16:34

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
                                                         1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

So with that being said, (in no particular order, btw) I am thankful for….

  • Jesus.  His grace and His Glory.  And His promises
  • Tara, my wife.  She continues to show my what loving others is all about
  • Shoes and socks on my feet.  I am rich compared to many.
  • Mr. Steve Jobs.  For creating cool tools that I often “think” about owning.
  • Qdoba.  And Tuesday’s with Brad, Joe, Tim, and others
  • Parents, who love me and taught me what it means to serve others.
  • Body Pillows.  Gotta get my sleep so “Crabby Bo” doesn’t appear
  • For Hope Community Church.  You challenge me to live and walk in the Spirit
  • Ability.  To work.  To play.  To learn
  • Sparrow Missions and Springwater Community Church.  Thanks for being living examples.
  • Dairy Queen blizzards.  Reese’s, Heath, or Butterfinger.
  • Friends who are willing to pray for me.  To many to count.  Brad.  Joe.  Jason.  Dave.  Beef.  Jordan.  Tim.  Chuck.  Robby.  Drew.  Andy.  Billy.  Greg.  Carl.  David.  Meach.  Gabe.  Miles.  Carlos.  Ricky.  Steve. Others.

Of course, this is just the start of my list, but it got me to stop and give thanks this morning.  And remind me.  Regardless of where I find myself, I should “rejoice always, giving thanks!”  God is good.  All the time.

So what are you thankful for?

God Bless, Bo
