One Family's attempt to live simply, while simply following. Jesus that is!
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Long time, no type my friends! Things have been pretty busy in the Cracraft family. We had a tremendous time on fall break and thoroughly enjoyed our time as a family. I must say, the kids are growing up so fast, but watching it happen is such a blessing from God!

One of the nice surprises this week was a letter from some of our dear friends, Steve and Alissa Rose. The Roses have moved out to Surprise, AZ to plant a new church, Springwater Community Church! Our family is partnering with the Roses and have pledged to pray, support, and hopefully serve with them very soon. We have been blessed to get to know Steve and his family and have been challenged by their willingness to go and serve God wherever that leads!
Included in the letter were a number of pictures and a bag of the little wristbands that simply stated: glorify….grow….give. Surprised with Steve’s decision to go with orange (UT colors…ugh), I picked one up and slipped it on my wrist and headed out to soccer practice. Honestly, I didn’t think much about it until one of my little girls came running up and grabbed my wrist and asked, “What up with the wristband Coach?” I told her about Steve and Alissa and how the wrsistband served as a reminder of their work in Arizona and the mission of their church. She smiled, said “That’s cool,” and then headed off. Again, I didn’t think much about it.
But as I drove home, the Lord brought it back up.
So, what’s really up with that wristband, Coach Bo?
I thought to myself and said, “It’s a reminder Lord.”
A reminder of what?
“To Glorify You, Grow in You, and Give myself for You”
So, did you? Did you glorify Me? Did you Grow? Give?
This discussion corresponded my with some reading I had done earlier in the day, while preparing for a bible study. I was reading the second chapter of Crazy Love, which focusing on the “brevity” or our lives and how each moment on earth, while short, should focus on life’s most important character, God.
I Corinthians 10:31 really gives us a picture of what our focus should be:
“Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it ALL for the glory of God.”
Whatever I do, I should glorify God. Maybe it’s coaching soccer. Maybe it’s sitting at Qdoba eating lunch with coworkers. Maybe it’s wrestling with my 5 year old son. It really doesn’t matter. Just Glorify.
The Rose’s might have sent us those wristbands to serve as a reminder of the mission of Springwater Church. But truthfully, God had Steve send them to me to serve as a reminder of MY mission. The point of my life is to Glorify Him. It’s not about teaching soccer. Or eating lunch. Or playing with a son. It’s about directing soccer players, co-workers, and children to ONE worth living for!
God Bless! Bo
