Thanks to the great budget shortfall of Kentucky and state furlough, the Cracraft’s will be getting to enjoy a FOUR-DAY weekend with no real plans! For the past several years we have traveled during the weekend for soccer, but this year we will be home, spending time as a family! I got to say that I am pumped about the down time and have been looking forward to loving on my family for the next few days!
Things have been moving quickly for our family. Tara is working diligently to get Pradero in order and it is actually starting to look like a home! Hopefully I can start to pull some weight this weekend and we can knock out some of the many boxes around the house! Now it’s time for some notes!
- The Frankfort Fury U11 Girls team has bounced back nicely from our season opening loss to Javanon. The girls have rang up three consecutive wins. This past weekend we took out E-Town and Anderson Co on back to back days. The girls are growing as individual players and are tough little cookies. However, I got to say that I am most impressed by the quality of young ladies they are becoming.
- Colby is really coming along nicely himself. He plays his fifth game tonight and he has really begun to figure it all out. He has soccer goals, played great defense, and totally loved the idea of having a cool jersey!!
- I don’t know about you folks, but I am ready for college football!! UK vs UL this weekend. Joker vs. Charlie. Both need to get started off on the right foot. Should be a great day for football!
- I am a Apple Fanboy. There, I said it. You can hate me for it if you want, but it’s not my fault they make cool gadgets. Yesterday they introduced new toys and the iPod Nano and Touch look pretty slick. I don’t need one, but whenever Steve Jobs presents a new toy, he MAKES me want it…..
- While on that subject….i NEED an iPad. Not really. But if anyone is interested, just wait till they introduce the next one (i want a camera for skype) and feel free to buy me one!
- I am ready for my accountability group to get started. The guys got to hang out last night and talk about the next semester. It was good to see and hear what God is doing through their life! I am thankful for good friends who are willing to investment in my life!
- I am struggling to stay focused on my reading for the month! I have started and stopped Graced Based Parenting like five times. I need to knock some out this weekend.
- I love watching Kallee sleep in her “big girl” bed. It’s just a peaceful for me for some reason? The other night I just sat and looked at her for like 10 minutes. She is so beautiful.
- Colby is just like ME and that is scary. He is not a morning person, gets crabby when he is tired, and can make the worse “stink faces” as Tara calls them. Hopefully he will pick up a few of my good traits along the way!
Enjoy the long weekend. Continue to pray for my grandmother, Ruby Boyd. She is now in a nursing home and things continue to work against her and her fight with cancer. Pray for Nita Gilbert as well. It was a blessing to see her out watching her grandbabies play soccer and I pray she has many more of those days!
Love you. Tell Tara HI if you see her? Is she still on here?
God Bless, Bo
